‘大饱口福’的十二月

十二月身边也蛮多亲戚朋友生日或结婚的。。
连续几天的生日会或结婚宴会，真的令我觉得自己好像有向横发展的迹象。。。
再加上佩对我说：“你的身材好像有‘中年发福’的迹象。。。
我的天啊！
不敢或不愿接受我已过了而立之年，慢慢步入‘中年危机’！
不行不行。。绝对不可以让这一切发生在我身上！
我要开始积极减肥！
不要做个胖胖中年男人！

我在马六甲‘来匆匆，去匆匆’

昨天连续赶了两场结婚宴会。
下午场在马六甲马接巴鲁新村，而晚上那场就在仁嘉隆新村。
早上就驾车沿着南北大道一路往南来到马六甲最大的新村-马接巴鲁（Machap Baru）


马接巴鲁是娜的老乡，这里也是她度过童年的地方。
这次到访纯粹是为了出席她侄女的结婚宴会。
（先在这里声明，娜并不老，只是她在他们家里虽然年纪轻但辈分比较高）


马接巴鲁新村，
还记得当初来到这新村的感觉。。。
（1）沿路前往马接巴鲁新村，不难发现马路两旁都是橡胶园。
印象一：这里的橡胶树应该多过马接巴鲁新村人口！
（2）还没进入马接巴鲁新村前，就可以看到一大片莲花盛开的画面。
印象二：莲花景色非常优美，有机会一定要来拍照！
（3）进入马接巴鲁新村，必须经过一道牌匾。
印象三：标准新村，但我还没有机会和牌匾合照。。。
（4）进入马接巴鲁新村，发现马接主要大街虽叫大路但还是很窄
印象四：这里村民驾车一定是一流的。
（5）一排排木屋整齐排列，里面大多数只住着老人家。
印象五：旧式木屋有着浓浓的新村味，只是感慨年轻一辈不会珍惜。。。


话说回来，宴会的地点在该村华小大礼堂。
由于到达时间还早，娜就叫我充当司机载姐妹啦。。。载花童啦等等。。。
剩余的时间，我一个人在校园逛逛。。。
（这间小学规模虽没有仁嘉隆华小大，但设备还算完善）
下午的大太阳再加上礼堂里的冷气搞得我好想睡觉。
等着等着终于看到礼堂人潮慢慢出现，新郎新娘站在门口迎接客人。
身为姐妹的娜忙着为新娘打点一切，而我就乖乖坐着看热闹！
（娜说其实新郎新娘在结婚当天是最不忙的，忙得反而是那些替他们打点一切的姐妹或兄弟！）

娜的母亲看到我坐得无聊，就拉着我一桌一桌介绍我给他的亲戚认识。（我还真得有点不好意思）。
说真的，介绍完后，我也不知道是谁打谁？（因为实在是太多了）
第一次在马六甲出席结婚宴会，发现这里酒席的第一道菜竟然是。。。
葡萄！
对没错，是水果的葡萄。
感觉好像是餐前水果，又或者是‘前菜’？
其余的就和我们这里的大同小异！
最后甜点也蛮特别的--椰子布丁！
宴会大约进行了三小时（还蛮快的，我们这里通常是四个小时）。
载送娜的父母回老家后，我也就赶回仁嘉隆出席第二场婚宴。。。

感言：这次的到访，我还是没有机会好好欣赏这里的荷花。

他 决定恢复单身

今天的他比以前多话，
是因为今天的他喝醉了？

今天的他让我了解大男人的定义，（也让我看到我自己）
是因为今天的他让我看到男人的心也难以捉摸？

今天的他是不高兴的，
是因为今天的他失恋了？

从来没有看到他好像最近酱子。
最近的他老是唠唠叨叨。
一直向身边的朋友述说他和她的感情问题。
他说：“最近觉得很烦，不满意她的种种。”
（但拍拖了一年多才开始觉得吗？不是早早就已经知道对方的缺点了吗？不是已经接受了吗？）
从他的谈话中，我看得出他还是爱她的。
但今天的他就因为一句‘她是无法改变的，我无法永远都酱让她啊！’而决定收回对她的爱。

他
到处向友人讲解为什么和她分手。
是因为想要让自己好过点，舒服点？
或想要借此得到友人的认同，进而减少对她的爱意？
又或者是要让大家知道他和她分手是因为她逼他酱做的。。。
受害者是他而不是她？

他
决定分手的真正理由到底是什么其实并没有人有兴趣知道。
而他也无需到处向别人解释为什么决定酱做。
因为到头来，心里最痛的还是自己和对方。
那又何必到处散播会伤害到双方的话呢？

感情的事其实都是很复杂及很难明白的。
惟有希望我们都能经一事，长一智咯！

希望他赶快醒过来。。。
而她能比以前快乐！

两粒红‘炸弹’，你中哪一粒？

晚上，孝首驾着他家老爷摩托来载我一起出席两个朋友的‘Bachelor Party’。
*真是同情那辆年龄应该大过我们俩的老爷摩托（因为要载这两个体重超标的男人！）
歹势啦！

路上经过其他住宅区，同样看到有好几户人家今晚也在搞‘Bachelor Party’。
想必明天又是结婚的好日子。

几个月前就听到这两位中学朋友将在十二月结婚，好选不选，他们都选中同一天结婚摆酒。
（“当然啦，他们都去同一间庙问日子！”其他友人这样说道。）
结果最后搞到他们须平分邀请共同的朋友，你一个，我一个。。。
就连‘兄弟’都得对分！
（希望我结婚那天不会酱巧和朋友的结婚‘撞’在同一天）

连赶两场‘Bachelor Party’，也吃了不少东西和喝了些些酒。。。
平常在酱的场合，见到朋友最常聊的话题就是：最近怎样，做些什么，几时结婚和聊别人的八卦等等。。。
但今晚，大家都会互问：“喂！你中哪一边的。”
感觉好好笑！
我想：“两位新郎一定很想大家都出席他们的婚宴及得到大家的祝福的！”
当然我们也很想出席两位的婚宴啊。。。
毕竟大家都认识那么久了，你们的结婚我们当然也很想参与啊！

无论如何，我还是衷心的祝福你们（进川和德凯）
希望你们和你们各自的老婆都能白头偕老，早生贵子！

Confession...... How to stop hoarding books?

After the bookfair last week, I pledge not to buy any books this month.
However......
I just can't help myself.
I can't stop buying books especially in this warehouse sales season.
I went to the bookfair again yesterday and buy more books for my collection!!

Feel so guilty to eat my own words...
Therefore, I write this blog to confess myself.
I tell myself that I am really a book-lover.
No matter what I do, more books will continue sit on my bookshelf......

For those who know me, you must know my reading habit before bed time.....
Sometime I was thinking:" I must have this or I will die."
Haha! Maybe I'm exaggerating but I really can't sleep without reading and I just can't say no to a good book (especially cheap books).
As a result, now I have a huge stack of books in the to-read list, but I still buy more!!!
Am I a book hoarder?
Is this a problem I keep buying new books without finish reading the old one?
More books on my bookshelf......

2009年最后一个月的第一天。。。

Went to UM early in the morning to attend the launching of UM plant biotech facility!
The plant biotech facility consists of three greenhouse units where each can accommodate over 2000 transgenic genetically modified plants.
Therefore, with this facility, students can progress with their plant biotechnology research.
All participants have a chance to visit their glasshouse......Me too!
What to see? Tobacco plants, Banana plants, Paddy plants, Arabidopsis and all the 'canggih' instruments or devices......

We have to wear 'green' labcoat before enter the chamber....Organizers are so kind to provide free goodies bag (a 2010 diary book, table calender and an umbrella) and lunch to all participants......
Lastly, I truely hope with the advanced facility, UM will be able to produce Malaysian's own GMO!

在那里吃完免费午餐后，我并没有回MARDI‘做牛’。。。
反而是偷偷跑去约会。。。哈哈！
表妹前天说Summit USJ那里有书展，而且那些书真的乱乱卖，‘习北’便宜!
那我就和娜去看看咯！

其实我们平时很少到这间购物中心逛，但看在有‘好康’捡的份上，就姑且走一趟。
这个书展其实是Popular自己搞的清货大促销叫Popular Warehouse Sales，
Warehouse Sales？
Warehouse Sales通常给我 的印象是某某服装品牌搞的大促销。。。书也可以大促销？
到了现场，才知道是真的耶！他们真的把那些比较旧的中文书都拿出来乱乱卖！
真的都好便宜哦！全场的书都有折扣（从70%至90%不等）
但一些新书或英文书则只扣10%或20%。
无论如何，爱书的人肯定不可以错过酱的机会。。。
在这里，你可以花很多很多小时‘寻宝’！（记得戴手套，以免你的手粘满灰尘）
这里的书多到爆，而且没有像其他书展那样排得整整齐齐的。
这里的书就是一堆一堆的排放任你在书堆中寻宝！（好像服装大促销酱，衣服都没有折好，也是一堆一堆任你挖）
这也是一个不错的体验！

我买了多少？哈哈！不多。。。
大约15本书罢了！
价格还不到RM200。。。真的是超值得的啦！
得空记得去逛逛咯！这个促销好像做到这个月五号为止。。。

她继续向我说：“某某友人计划参与。”
。。。我没出声，因为还在思索着Wan Mao Death到底是什么？

难得星期六，无聊一下！

星期六在家里难得清闲，我应该做什么呢？
上网？写论文或学术性文章？看书？
好像每样都不大想做耶！
不如动动身子，打扫房间？
看看房里四周，看到还蛮清洁整齐的。。。不需要打扫啦！

坐在电脑前，看到桌上有个'Cite Publisher'的纸袋。
纸袋里装着我那天到书展买的书。。。
有：龙应台的《大江大海一九四九》和《亲爱的安德烈》，郭正佩的《希腊。村上春树。猫》和三本不起眼的水彩绘画基础教学书。。。

有了！就画画吧！
二话不说，赶快找出尘封在橱子里的画画工具开始画画咯！

。。。。。大约一个小时后。。。。。
哈哈！各位观众。。。大师的杰作！（心虚！）
当当当当。。。。。。。（看了别笑到喷饭哦！） 好像还蛮丑的。。。歹势啦！
酱多年没用水彩画画（中学毕业后），再加上画画基本功不好！

其中最爆笑的是大妹的朋友的女儿的照片！
我也就嚷着要她把那个网址给我好让我笑个饱（嘻嘻！我好像很坏！）

My FirSt TasTe oF 'SpaNisH' CuiSinE

My day was started with a long journey to the lab (as usual with my sleepy mood)......
After some labwork (around 3pm), I went to The Mines for the book fair to hunt some books.

Leave the book fair around 7pm and headed to USJ9 for my belated birthday celebration with MUST gang.
This time, we are dining at a Spanish restaurant--La Cocina. (Thanks to TingJie for her recommendation)

This would be my first experience of genuine Spanish food in my life!
La Cocina is a quaint little restaurant with its warm decor of brown wood and yellow painted wall. I likes the posters and pictures hanging on the wall and impressed by the cosy relaxed atmosphere of the place with Spanish music plays in the background.

I learn a new word here- Tapas (Spanish Appetizer).
Here, they served a range of Tapas which we ordered.....
Button Mushroom in Cream Sauce which serve with bread and fresh crab croquette (taste like mashed potato mixed with crab)...
What a nice starter!!

The main course that we ordered were:
Paellas Negres (Spanish rice cooked in black squid ink with some seafoods)
Pollo Con Salsa De Crema (Chicken Pieces In Creamy Mushroom Sauce)
Fettucine Carbonara with Chicken Cubes (this is an Intalian food if im not mistaken)

After the main course, we still manage to take in 1/2 dozen of spicy chicken wings and a desert (Caramelised Rich Custard).

So surprise to hear the birthday song (spanish version) played by the restaurant for me with a small cake served by the waiter...I am really touched!!

Overall, the food was great especially the Paellas...
My first visit here certainly won’t be my last!
Lovely food, great service and reasonable price make this Spanish restaurant a must to visit again.

I think it is the time for me to 'reactivate' my blog after two very busy months....
November is a special month for me because I was born in the month of November.

On the day of 22nd November 2009,
A beautiful Sunday morning.....
Wake up early and start my regular sunday activities until afternoon!
Take a good nap and waiting for the surprise from dear...
Went to fetch her and follow her navigation....
"Turn right, drive slowly, go straight, follow this lane............."
Finally, we reach our destination--- Look out point, Ampang!
OMG, this is the place that I wanted to go, but always simply 'talk' and never action!

I've known about this place before it has become so famous nowadays....
This place was getting too much publicity until it was so crowded during weekend.
Due to the rainy season, It seems not too crowded when we reached there.
We were greeted upon arrival by breezy cold winds and mist...
Here, we were able to see the beautiful night-scene of whole Kuala Lumpur.
We chose a restaurant and took a table at the side where we were able to see the view without any blocks.

So surprise that my birthday cake for this year was a bunch of 'lovely' cup cakes......

Make a wish and hopes that I can celebrate my birthday with my dear every year......

Anyhow, look Out point is a perfect hangout place for young and old people.

The skyline of Kuala Lumpur city from here is simply stunning and breath-taking!!

原本不打算要出席今晚的会议了。。。
但又好像好过意不去（因为如果今晚我不出席，我就连续三次缺席了）
我并不想做个信口开河的人。。。
既然决定要成为理事，我就会尽量做好本分。。。
（之前的两次会议都是有原因才缺席的！）

其实为什么要把自己弄得那么辛苦呢？
之前还不是因为大家的一股冲动，才会做出这样的决定！
既然决定了，我们是不是也应该履行自己的承诺？

撇开州分会不谈，各位县理事是不是也应该醒醒啊！
是时候让自己的诺言兑现了。。。
不要再开空头支票了！
你们所谓的没时间，课业为先，家庭为先，事业为先。。。。等等等的理由已经过时了！
身为一个从基层做起的干部们，别再把以上的种种理由当借口啦！
一位干部难道不会分配自己的时间，难道还没学会如何遵守承诺？

我要把老婆仔娶回家

再过几个小时就是她的生日了。。。
礼物及一切都准备就绪，就只是想不到一个理想的地点来庆祝！

今晚的她需出席朋友的结婚晚宴，故不能和我来个烛光晚餐。。。
我也只能当她的车夫送她去出席晚宴，然后等到晚宴结束后陪她一起倒数生日。。。
之后再给她一个惊喜！

好紧张哦！

IroNmAn Me......

My Saturday was started from 8.30am by having 3 tuition classes back to back until late afternoon....

Not later than 5pm, I was on my way to PJ for dinner.
The dinner was arranged for Dear by two of our senior for her early birthday celebration.
(Initially it was also planned for another friend, Huili which she can't make it in the very last minute)
This time, Dear decided to try Korean food.. Can't recall what is the name for the restaurant we dine-in.....
But I was impressed by the tatami style dining environment!
Korean food for me is all about bbq......kimchii.....and ginsheng!!
(This was my very first taste in a 'proper' korean restaurant)

Korean restaurant normally provide a variety of pickle-thingy or some veggie in many many small plates.....(free adds-on stuff to our main-courses)
All this is very appetising....
We ordered marinaded chicken and pork BBQ, korean style stone bowl mix-rice (Bibim Bap) and korean spicy chicken soup.....Korean foods are hot and spicy......

However, it is not that oily compared to Malaysians' food......

And I really enjoy it!

Yeah! I can stand with Kimchi!! (Not that bad as i thought)

After the dinner, I went back to Jenjarom for another party

(YMM Jenjarom celebration party fro achiements gained)......

BBQ again......

But this time was local style!!I am not joining them in playing games......

(I had to admit that I am no longer young to join them) Ha!Ha!

But I do enjoy chit chatting with some friends......

Finally, laid on my bed at about 1am..... Feel so tired and sleepy!!

妈妈的新‘宠物’

今天下午经过我家茶坊看到老妈子非常悠闲地在‘叹茶’。。。
于是就八卦地走进去看看。。。
“旋，来试试我刚学的茶艺手式。”
“妈昨天去XX茶坊跟那里的人学了怎样泡茶。”

“哇！我老妈几时变得酱好学？酱有气质？” 于是。。。
突然想起那天贵姐送我的桂花乌龙茶。
“那你就用那天学姐送我的茶来表演一下你的手艺咯！”

老妈二话不说有模有样地开始冲茶。
老妈还特地向我介绍她的新‘宠物’大牛哥。。。（妈指着那只她新买的‘牛’造型陶瓷）
“老妈，你别吓我啦。。。你不是酱年轻就老人痴呆吧。。。竟然把陶瓷牛当宠物！”




哈！原来是我弄错了。。。是我孤陋寡闻！
网上搜寻：“养茶宠物”
顾名思义就是茶水滋养的宠物，多是用紫西湖龙井茶砂或澄泥烧制的陶质工艺品，喝茶时用茶蘸茶汤涂抹或剩茶水直接淋漓，年长日久，茶宠就会温润可人，茶香四溢。常见茶宠如金蟾、貔貅、辟邪、小动物、人物等，寓意招财进宝、吉祥如意。



【养茶宠物的方法】
1、茶宠物并不是只有普洱茶才能养，主要是因为普洱茶的茶质养这个很容易出效果。
2、一般选择形制适中的，不要太大，因为还要考虑让它身体的大部分起到蓄水存水的功能。
3、养的过程中，只需用茶水浇濯，不要用白水。这样才会摸上去有温润顺滑的手感。
4、砂质也分好坏但不是问题，日常维护中每天必须用刷子清扫，定期用茶布摩挲，使之保持一定程度的亮泽。宠物吐泡，睁眼的事就很容易看到了。
5、茶宠物和紫砂壶一样，时间长了也会升值。
6、可以采用人工“发酵”和自然“发酵”两种方式开养：人工发酵即把新养宠物丢在茶桶里，根据自己喜好焖泡上2-4天再拿出来，自然可以达到迅速吃水。自然发酵只能假以时日，慢慢形成效果。

喝着茶香和花香十足的桂花乌龙茶，在加上薄薄一片蛋黄莲蓉月饼。。。
简直是绝配！
（中秋佳节将至，家里这几天收到几盒人家送礼的月饼。。。有好多口味供选择！）
自己最爱的还是传统的莲蓉月饼，但不可以太甜和一定要加上蛋黄。。。酱才好吃！
最不喜欢的月饼就是金华火腿月饼或所谓的咸月饼。。。超难吃！（可是很多老人家都喜欢）

马来人新年关我什么事！

话说Hari Raya即将来临，
办公室里开始洋溢着过年的气氛！

隔壁的Kakak，Aunty们忙着为家庭张罗过年糕饼或为家里的“一堆”儿女打点一切。。。

“Akak nanti nak pergi supermarket beli kuih raya... tadak masa ni!”

“Eh! Kuih raya yang akak order kenapa tak sampai-sampai lagi？”

“Kak memang tak suka raya lah! Kena bazir banyak!! Tapi untuk anak akak, mereka suka la!"

我们办公室这几天就是酱。。。
以上这些谈话不时传到我耳边来！

个个好像已经开始放假，完全不把工作当一回事。。。
就好像鬼佬说的：“They are in the holiday mood!”

我可不能像她们酱。。。
**尽量不让她们影响，赶快把应该在放假前完成的工作做完。。。

每年的马来新年前夕，我们这班华人都会凑一脚。。。
所谓普天同庆嘛！One Malaysia!

别弄错，我们并没有一起庆祝马来新年，
我们是买马来薯饼在办公室开“Parti Kerepek Ubi”

这几天，大家简直把薯饼当成午餐，下午茶。。。
各种不同的口味让大家吃得欲罢不能，停不下来。。。
最后，搞到大家都闹喉咙痛或发热气！！
可真是“犯贱”，自讨苦吃！

明天后就是四天的假期，
虽说是假期，但翻开记事本看看。。。
好像节目都排得满满的。
完全感觉不到自己会有时间可以好好休息。

GeT awAy On MiNi VaCaTion

Location: Cameron Highland, Pahang

This vacation was just in the right time where I can relax myseft......

And escape from the heavy workloads......

Too many jobs come together and each told me to put them at priority!

Sigh!

Forget about all those annoying stuff....

I started my journey to Cameron Highland with Dear and her family......

Cameron Highland (not new to me as I been there before)

One of the Malaysia most attractive tourist spot with its unique cool climate weather and its lush greenery montane jungle forest.

Apart from tourist spot, this serene highland is still a farming community.

We have a chance to visit tea plantation, vegetable farm, flower valley and not to miss the strawberry farm. (Thanks to 杨先生夫妇和他们的仔仔 for their warm welcome and hospitality)

Standing high on the hill, you can feel the gentle breeze on your face.

I love the environment and the breathtaking scenery.You can see flowers everywhere in this place......Nice!

Strawberry farm (you can pluck the strawberry yourself, but of course you need to pay) Veggie farm with variety of vegetables...... cabbages, brocoli, cauliflowers, tomatoes, legumes, sweet corns, spinach.......and all you can name it! Hydroponic salad crops are placed in the greenhouse!

Greentea maze at Cameron Highland. This place was owesome and have a very nice view.Finally, a group photo and its time to say bye bye to Cameron!
